Hi, my name is Jerica and I'm so excited for the opportunity through this service to connect with new families! I relocated to Orlando, Fl roughly 4 years ago from my hometown of Panama City Beach, Fl. Outside of being a childcare provider, I enjoy testing new recipes, spending time at the springs, picking up new titles from the public library, and taking weekend trips to fun beach towns around the Florida coast. I currently live in Winter Park, Fl with my long term partner and our cat, Amelia, and our dachshund, Fen. My professional career in childcare began when I was 15 with my first nanny position. My mother and grandmother are elementary art teachers through the public school system. My mom connected me with one of her special needs students to be their afterschool and weekend nanny. At 15 I was limited in my professional reach (transportation, experience), Read more but I was able to build off that wonderful opportunity to launch my professional childcare career. Since that opportunity, I am now 24 and have went on to work in private childcare centers, U.S. Navy childcare centers, preschool, nurseries, and private family care. Through it all, I've learned the pros and cons first hand for each type of setting. My absolute favorite childcare venture is private home care or nannying. The experience of having one on one time to nurture, grow with, and teach the child(ren) is truly an amazing opportunity. I presently work part time as a nanny with one family. I began working with them right before the pandemic started and we endured this crazy time together LOL. The child was 3 months old and is now just shy of 18 months old. I'm looking for an additional part time position as a nanny, mother's helper, or new babysitting contacts. I have experience with working in PPE, temperature checks, infection control, and I am presently fully vaccinated since February 2021. I'm looking forward to connecting with you and your family :)
