Hello! My name is Cherish and I'm going into my 3rd year of college at Georgia State University and will be beginning my internship at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta this fall. I'm going to school to earn my degree in Pediatric Nursing. I'm originally from Acworth, GA where the rest of my family still resides. My experience with children started when I began looking after my cousins when I was 14. I became their babysitter on a regular basis along with many of their friends. 6 years later I still babysit my cousins and others in my community regularly. Over the years Ive volunteered at many local hospitals and children facilities, tending to both adults and kids. It brings me great joy to see children in both educational and non-educational settings. I enjoy being goofy and playful with the children I babysit; however, along with the creative games we play, Read more I challenge them to use their imaginations, be active, and read. Adding educational aspects to playtime is crucial in my babysitting. I really enjoy seeing how children's minds work and think; there is so much we can learn from them. Some of my activities and hobbies are music, arts and crafts, exercise, and school. I thoroughly enjoy learning, especially since it's all based on the student and child. I have learned a lot about kids through schooling, but am always learning something new and exciting with every child I babysit.
