Hello! My name is Kimberly, I am soon to be finish psychology major at Darton State College. I am from Thomasville , Ga. I moved to Albany, Ga in 2012. I am also currently a cosmetology major at Albany Technical College. I absolutely love to learn. College is defienely my number one focus right now and also making some extra money on the side by babysitting. Babysitting is probably the BEST PART TIME JOB out there. I’ve been really lucky and the families that I work with are amazing. I prefer babysitting to working in a child care facility because you get more one on one time with the kids. I think it’s hard to build a good relationship with someone when you only spend fifteen distracted minutes with them a few times a week. When you babysit for one family you get to really know the kids and they’re Read more kind of like your extended family. I think I love babysitting because it comes naturally to me. Whether its playing with legos for three hours, playing tag in the neighborhood, or having a movie night its just so much fun to be a kid! I love arts and crafts, games, movies, logic puzzles(which legos are essentially), and role playing. I remember I did a lot of reading when I was a kid and I didn’t really do the playing stuff as much, so maybe that’s why I love it so much now. It’s great when you go to work after class and rather than dreading it, you can’t wait to see what’s going to happen. I hope that when I graduate and (hopefully) become gainfully employed that I’ll still have time to babysit on the side. I’d be so sad if I couldn’t get my weekly coloring fix in!
