My name is Cierra Wheeler, and I am 18 years old. I absolutely adore children! I am currently in college studying to become a teacher. I want to teach from grades Pre-K through 5th Grade. I am currently a substitute teacher for the primary, elementary, middle, and high school in my county. Over the summer I had two major babysitting jobs. I babysat a 5 and 4 year old during the months of June and July 2017 four days a week. I babysat them Tuesday-Friday from 8 am to 6 pm. I enjoyed taking care of these children so much and when I started college and had to do field work for my education class, the 5 year old was in the class I chose to do my field work in. Sadly, though they moved away a couple of days after I started my field work. On Saturdays I babysat Read more an 8 month old baby girl who I absolutely adored. I babysat her from 7 am to 12 pm while her mother was at work. One day, I had to babysit her from 11 am to 6 pm whenever she got sick at daycare and had to go home. I also had to take her to the doctor that day as well. The next day was still sick and was not allowed to go to daycare. I babysat her that day from 7 am to 6 pm. I am CPR certified and I also worked as a CNA at my local nursing home my first semester of my senior year of high school. I am very creative and I can maintain authority while still being able to get down on the children's level. I am patient and I can keep a level head during a crisis. As far as cooking goes, I'm still learning. I can do laundry and pick up around the house and keep it clean. I am not allergic to anything so I'm good with all kinds of pets. I own 2 booster seats from my previous babysitting job. When I was around 14 or 15, my younger cousin had her 1st birthday party. At one point in time during the party, my cousin's mother got worried because she could not hear any of the children. She found all 6 or 7 or 8 children, ages 3 to 6, with me outside painting pumpkins, quiet, listening to my instructions, and not making a mess or fighting over paint colors. During the time I job shadowed my cousin who is a Kindergarten teacher, I went to PE with the students. There were maybe about over 100 students in there at one time ages 4-6. I managed to get all of them in a circle, listening to my instructions, and playing duck duck goose.
