I have always loved children and it is the reason I entered education. I began babysitting and working in my church nursery when I was in high school. In the nursery I cared for babies and toddlers to age 5 for one and a half years. I also assisted at our church summer camp for three years. I taught summer camp at the Jackson Zoo for one year. During my time in college I babysat a three year old girl once to twice a week for six months. After graduation from Tougaloo College I taught 10th - 12th grade biology for 3 years. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Science Education.
