I have nannied and babysat domestically and abroad for multiple families, including children with special needs. I cater to each child’s unique needs, while keeping creativity, kindness and their safety at the forefront. With my most recent family, I nannied two boys aged 6 and 3 years old, from March 2020 to February 2021. Due to virtual learning, I was with the boys 8am to 3pm, making meals and helping with school. The eldest had a speech deficit due to having downs syndrome, and it took patience, encouragement and respect to earn his trust so I could help him learn. After school, we would play whatever they wanted (within reason). I always keep ideas for fun activities up my sleeve, and believe in breaks from screen time. As a U.K/ U.S citizen I did a college program were you study for 3 years at Kings College London in the U.K, Read more and the final year at UC Berkeley. I nannied for a family while in London, looking after 3 brothers (7, 6, 4) from 2016-2019. I’d take all three boys around the city for afterschool activities and then come back to help with homework and dinner. I believe my breath of experience, compassion and awareness to each child’s unique needs, makes me a great option as a nanny and tutor.
