At my church, I have taken care of children between the ages 3 and 5 during our vacation Bible school program. I was in charge of making them snacks, playing games with them, helping them with crafts and activities, and making sure they cleaned up their messes. I also have experience with 10 to 12-year-olds. I just make sure they clean up after themselves, do their homework, and go to bed at an appropriate hour. I enjoy babysitting younger children because they are more interactive and I love how imaginative they are. Also, I have done volunteer work at assisted living homes. I visited with the residents and talked to them. Sometimes, I was in charge of delivering meals or serving plates in the dining hall. I helped run the bingo games, read the newspaper, and assist in setting up for events.
