I am a therapist and I love children of all ages. I currently have a growing private practice working with adolescents and adults, and I am currently looking for work in childcare during this season of professional transition. In graduate school, I gained experience working as a therapist for one year with homeless adult individuals, 3 years as a college counselor, and one year as a therapist in a pediatric inpatient unit. In 2017-2018, I provided individual and group therapy to children ages 6-17 suffering from depression, suicidal thoughts and attempts, aggression, autism, LGBT identity issues, trauma, and psychosis, in addition to family therapy. I graduated with a Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology in 2019, after completing my Masters in Clinical Psychology two years prior, both from Nova Southeastern University in South Florida. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Georgia in 2011. During Read more my two years off after undergrad, I applied for grad school and worked as a part-time nanny (full time during the summers) for a family in North Atlanta, Georgia. They had two children, ages 12 and 8, each with special needs (Asperger's/Autism and ADHD). I provided after-school transportation and care (homework, snacks, light cleaning, chore encouragement). It was a great experience for both the family and me. Otherwise, over the years I have had sporadic babysitting jobs for family and friends of my family. I am great with children; I thoroughly enjoy them and love getting to know their quirky personalities. I have experience caring for my niece and nephew, who are now ages 11 and 9, respectively. I also regularly see and spend time with my best friend and her children who are 1 and 4 years old. As a college student, I also mentored a 14-year-old girl for about 2 years through the Clarke County Mentor Program (in Athens, GA). I am fun, creative, compassionate, mellow and open-minded. I love to play and am always happy to do some arts and crafts. I am highly culturally sensitive and have worked with children, adults, and families from a variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds and sexual and gender orientations. I would enjoy caring for your children and I also love animals! Previously I have been First Aid/CPR certified. Can provide professional and personal references!
