Hi there, my name is Laura! I graduated in December 2012 from Bradley University in Peoria, IL with a degree in graphic design. Following graduation, I worked at the Peoria Civic Center as a Graphic Arts Intern and was eventually hired as the full time Interactive Marketing and Design Coordinator. In March 2014, I resigned my position in to move up to Chicago to attend graduate school. I began a masters program in elementary education in June 2014 at Loyola University Chicago. After starting a career in graphic design and marketing, I realized I was more passionate about pursuing a career in education. I enjoy working with children and watching them grow and learn. Ideally, I will combine my passion for art with my passion for education and I will teach elementary art. I am graduating May 2016 and am looking for a summer job while I apply to teaching Read more positions for the fall. I am looking for a guaranteed 25-40 hours per week. I have been babysitting for various families since the age of 12. I have worked as an art teacher and a floater at two different day care facilities, providing care for infants and children up to 12 years old. I have also worked as a camp counselor for children with serious illnesses. I have six nieces and nephews whom I adore and for whom I have provided childcare. I love working with children. Whatever needs you and your family have, I will do my best  to accommodate them.  As a babysitter/nanny, I am prepared to drive your children to and from school and various activities, read with them, help them with homework, create art projects, plan fun and education outings, prepare healthy meals, do light cleaning and chores, and any other miscellaneous tasks your family requires. I am Red Cross CPR and First Aid Certified for infants, children, and adults. I hope to hear from you soon!
