I have been involved in various forms of childcare since I was the age of 13 years old. When I was a young girl I would babysit my neighbors kids and some family members. As I got a little older, around 16, I got a summer job at a local day care for the summer. It was a blast being around the kids and teaching them things and making fun memories. People were always able to see that I genuinely had a passion for caring for the little ones. I've always had my heart set on becoming a school teacher. Pretty soon into my adult years, I made that happen. I am currently enrolled in school online to receive my bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. I have about 21 credits left before I am complete. I have also had the experience of being a paraprofessional teacher at the local Read more head start. During my time here I teach 17 children between the ages of 3-5. I have been employed here for four school terms. I honestly can say that with each year my aspirations for being in the caregiving/teaching world only continues to grow stronger.
