Growing up, I always helped in the nursery at church, from the time I was in fourth and fifth grade. When middle school came along, I would go to a neighbor's house who had 2 children, a 2-year-old, and a 3-month-old, where I learned the "ropes" of taking care of children without help. After that, in high school, I had several families I regularly babysat for. I became very close with about 4 of these families, whose kids ranged from ages 6 months to 9 years. I have worked with children with learning disabilities as well as children with special needs. I have kept up to 4 kids at a time, all while still enjoying my job!
