I began watching children when I was 14 or 15 years old. I would stay home during the summer with my siblings making sure they had breakfast and lunch, and made sure the kitchen was cleaned when my mom got home from work. I have assisted with Vacation Bible School at my church where I created games and activities for us to do, helped create lunch menus, & helped prepared the food. I graduated high school in 2013 & the summer after graduation I began working at Carrollton Elementary School. I assisted with the summer feeding program, the breakfast cart for Pre-K students, and I volunteered to help at the after school program. While helping with Pre-K the principal was impressed with the way I interacted with the kids and offered me a permanent position at the after school program. I was starting school in the middle of August so Read more I could not accept the offer but I felt great receiving positive feedback. I have god children that are 2 & 5 & those boys are my world. I spend every Sunday after church playing at the baseball field or playground with them. I am an event coordinator for my youth mentoring program. I schedule the different activities we do, secure locations for the activities, & I send the news letter updates to their parents! I have parents tell me all the time, “I don’t trust people with my children but you're an exception to that. I have seen her interact with kids & they gravitate to her naturally.” I’m very creative, I love to draw, I love being outside, & I enjoy coming up with different games or activities to occupy the children’s time! I’m very kind & caring. Cleaning calms me so I love doing housework as well!
