My name is Angela, and I am excited to come to this site and meet families. I hope to help in the role of a caregiver where I may be a positive influence in the lives of your children and develop a loving, trusting bond that makes me so much more than an employee, but rather an extension as a part of the family.  Children inspire me-- they remind me of the excitement that accompanies boundless curiosity. I love teaching them, nurturing them, playing, and sharing all the love I have to give. I have several years caregiving experiences in a preschool setting and I am trained in child development. I also speak Spanish fluently, and I would love to share learning foreign language with any children I work with.  I am college educated, and I have worked in daycares for kids of all ages, including infants to elementary school aged children. In my training in Read more child development, I learned many approaches to age-appropriate activities to keep children stimulated and excited to learn through play. I believe learning is best learned hands on, and I love engaging in arts and crafts, science experiments, digging outside in nature, learning about the weather, and most of all, encouraging their imaginations through reading and free imaginative play. Depending on age range of your child, I would love to share more about my particular experience in gearing activities toward the specific age group. It's amazing how even a few months at a certain age can enable so many different learning and growing opportunities, and I certainly have a wealth of child development resources to work together with parents about how we can effectively contribute to your child's emotional, cognitive, artistic, and social growth through these rapidly changing and exciting formative years of development.  I love to teach children. I love that they inspire me to look more deeply into the extraordinary world I often take for granted getting caught up in the hustle and bustle of being a grown up. They keep me young at heart, and in that way, I am able to reach them at their level and help them appreciate the wonder of childhood; of experiencing the world for the first time, with fresh eyes, with innocence and wonder and enthusiasm. And I especially love their laughter, their shameless silliness, and I insist on getting down on their level and getting goofy and laughing together in a way that builds an honest, true bond.
