Hi! I'm Maria, I love art and being creative! which is one of the reasons why children are so much fun to be around - they have amazing imaginations and love to play, something I think is important to not just kids, but all ages! I love to play and interact with kids in a fun way that lets both of us have a good time, whether that be pretending we're both crazy powerful dragons, or playing with LPS dolls and running a cute bakery for animals, or even just helping them with their math homework. it's important to me that children know that their voice is just as important as us adults, and that their emotions and needs are heard and looked after, rather than just assuming I am always right merely because I've been on earth a little longer than them. though sometimes kids DO come up with Read more crazy ideas that are not always so smart and do need a helpful guiding hand, and that's when I'm there to let them gently know that maybe a different idea is better. I think its important to talk WITH kids rather than just talking at them. most of my experience comes with babysitting and growing up with my younger brother and sister, who are now ages 11 and 12, and also with tutoring children in art (ages 6-7) for a year, at my college. through these experiences, I've come to know that i really do enjoy playing with children and getting to know them - they have such interesting and wonderful ideas and personalities, that you rarely will find in us older folk. I'd love to help cultivate and grow with your child and get to know them!
