Hello, my name is Barbara Torri and I’m so excited to have the opportunity to meet and help you and your family! I was born in Mexico and currently live in Duluth, Georgia. I attended Duluth High School and Ibero Americana Puebla University, where I obtained a Bachelors in Communication with an emphasis in Education. As the oldest child of 3 siblings, I have spent most of my life taking care of my siblings, as well as family and friends children. I am very close with my family and believe that a solid core family foundation is most important in a child’s development. I have found working with children to be my true passion and calling in life. After graduating college, I took a position working as a kindergarten teacher at Reino Aventura in Tuxpan, Mexico where I found great success in working to advance communication beyond a kindergarten level Read more and expanding spanish speaking children’s English vocabulary. In todays world, I strongly feel that speaking multiple languages gives children a huge advantage, not only in school, but throughout life in general. I have experience with numerous children at once, as well as those with special needs. I hold a certification in Child and Baby First Aid/CPR/AED and recertify each year. For my hobbies I enjoy reading, tennis, swimming, cycling, and kayaking. I am an outdoorsy person and love being outdoors and at beach. My favorite children’s book is Goldilocks and the 3 Bears and enjoy changing my voice to fit the different characters in books.
