Hello families. My name is Akilah. I am sophomore college student. I am an aspiring journalist (major). With this degree and experience in this subject, I aspire to investigate ACES, (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and the human/sex trafficking industry. I believe childhood trauma is the source of not only an insurmountable amount of pain is this world but also perpetual abuse and social issues in this world. I have a project that I have been working on for the past two years to pass out care packages to those experiencing homelessness. In the future I want to expand this project to a rehabilitation and resource center of healing with those facing traumas so they can be the best version of themselves.
