I have experience working with kids in babysitting settings, as a camp counselor as well as working in a fun centers with children for their birthdays. I've had the opportunity to work as a camp counselor at Robert D. Fowler YMCA in Norcross, Georgia. My duties included supervising children from ages 6-12, organizing games and arts and crafts, and made camp experience as fun and rewarding as possible. I have always had memorable experiences at camp, and working as a camp counselor is just as memorable. Being able to watch the kids become aware of their full potential is a very rewarding experience. I have been a babysitter since 2007. For one of my first children, who was a 6 year old girl, my duties were to made dinner (or order pizza if it was on the weekends) , help her with her homework for the day, allow her to Read more watch her favorite show or play a few games and give her a bath and make sure she was in bed no later than 8:30pm. Being a baby sitter I have learned to have patience working with younger children. I am able to down on their level when I am trying to communicate with a child who is very young. I have become very creative working with children as well. Whether its allowing them to watch their favorite show while eating, making clean up into a fun gave, I make sure to be as interactive with the children as I possibly can.
