👋 Hi there! I’m Amani — your go-to sitter, educator, and big-sister energy all in one! With over 10+ years of hands-on childcare experience, I bring a nurturing, dependable, and fun-loving approach to every family I work with. From bouncing babies to busy teens, I’ve cared for children ages 1 through 17, meeting them exactly where they are with patience, creativity, and structure. 👧👦 Childcare is more than a job for me — it’s in my DNA. As the eldest sibling in a big family, I grew up with built-in leadership training. From early morning bottles to homework help and bedtime stories, caregiving has always been a part of my world. I know the weight of responsibility and the joy of seeing children feel safe, supported, and celebrated. 🎓 My recent experience includes teaching in the classroom. For the past two years, I’ve worked full-time as a school-time educator. I’ve Read more taught 6th grade, 4th grade, and 2nd grade, so I’m very familiar with grade-specific developmental needs — from early literacy and social skills to middle school independence and emotional regulation. I also have experience working closely with special education and neurodiverse learners.
