I spoke with Kennedy and a couple of other sitters over a week before needing a sitter. I ended up booking with Kennedy, for Jan. 4th, because I thought she seemed dependable and like a good fit for my son. The day before she was to come to sit for me, I texted to confirm that everything was still good. However, I received no reply. I later called and left her a voice message asking if she could get back to me so that I knew she was still coming. I also let her know that I couldn't call off work and would need to start searching for a new sitter asap. Several hours after my initial text, I finally heard back from her but by then, I had already made other arrangements. I told her this. She responded as if she understood and told me to let her know if I needed help in the future. Well, I decided to try her again and reached out about an upcoming need for a sitter. She never responded. Being unavailable is fine but acting as if you're interested in taking on jobs and then completely ignoring someone seems a bit rude. Also, booking a job and then failing to respond in a timely manner is a bit unprofessional, in my opinion. When she didn't respond for the first job, I had a gut feeling that she wasn't planning to come and only responded later to save face. She was very responsive during the initial process and when accepting the job, so I find it odd that she couldn't take a quick second to respond and confirm that she was still coming. I can't speak on whether she is a good sitter or not, but I personally wouldn't rely on her again.

Kennedy was great. She watched our 2 month old while we had a date night. She was very friendly and warm, and you can tell she has a real passion for children. We definitely will be using her again.
