Hi! My name is Jamiah, and I’m 21 years old. As the oldest of six children raised by a single mom, caring for kids has been a natural part of my life for as long as I can remember. Outside of my siblings, I’ve been babysitting since I was 15 years old and have cared for children ranging from newborns to 12 years old, including those with special needs. Once I turned 18, I began working professionally in childcare. I spent a year as a lead preschool teacher, then went on to teach a combined kindergarten and first-grade class for another year. Most recently, I led a summer school program for rising fourth graders. I hold an associate degree in Early Childhood Education and am currently attending Kennesaw State University to earn my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. I’m very patient, playful, and nurturing, and I love to build connections with each child by taking interest in their unique hobbies and personalities. I enjoy creating activities that match their interests and keep them engaged. I also enjoy helping with homework and academic support, and I always aim to make learning fun and stress-free. For me, caring for children is more than just a job, it’s a truly rewarding experience to be part of their growth and help them feel safe, supported, and celebrated.
