My name is Imani Sterling, and I was born and raised in London, UK. However I have recently moved to McDonough GA, to complete a M.Ed at Georgia State University. From a young age I always knew I wanted to work with children. Children would always gravitate towards me, and I absolutely adored them. Therefore, in 2012 I completed a BTEC Diploma in Childcare and Child Development to provide me with a general foundation and understanding of childcare and child development. During this course I also completed a placement in a nursery and pre-school, looking after infants from 6 months to 4-year-old children. For the next two years I focused on completing the world-renowned International Baccalaureate Diploma in The Bahamas. During this time I regularly babysat for a range of expat families. Typically I would babysit in the evenings or nights, looking after children from 2 years old to 8 Read more years old. I then moved back to London, UK to complete my Bachelors in Psychology. Not only did I learn a great deal regarding child development (cognitively, emotionally and psychologically), but I also continued to further my babysitting experience. For the last three years I babysat a 5 year old girl two days a week. In addition for the last year I regularly looked after a baby boy. It is also important to know that I have been trained multiple times in First Aid.
