Hello! My name is Maggie and I grew up here in Peachtree Corners, graduated from Norcross High, then moved straight to Orlando, FL and attended the University of Central Florida…which I had never heard of. Regardless, I was determined to take on a new challenge and leave the nest for the second largest university in the country without knowing a single soul! It was everything I hoped it would be and it made me the independent and resourceful person I am today. I am an only child with 51 first cousins which pretty much makes me a natural with kids. I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis on Finance and Marketing, as well as a minor in Magazine Journalism. I have always loved to read and to write. While in college, I began working with children through my sorority along with Ronald McDonald House Read more Charities. I learned a lot from the kids I met there and the optimistic courage they have about life inspired me to do more. I began to volunteer weekly with a program in Orlando called Read2Succeed. Here I met with underprivileged kids, ages ranging from 7 to 15, who could not read or write. Once again, I sat face to face with kids fighting these battles with tremendous strength. After these experiences, the desire to help others in any way I can skyrocketed. Granted, those are extreme situations I described, but being in a child's life is a gift and I love to do what I can. After college, I returned home to be with family. I started to work as a gymnastics coach with boys and girls in the toddler classes, pre-k classes and coached a third grade team of 8 girls. I know to expect the unexpected and act accordingly. When someone trusts you to take care of their kids, there is no room for error. Or, room for frowns. I am experienced with kids of all ages. Although I will goof around with them or they might view me as a friend more than a babysitter, I never lose sight of why I am there. I also believe all parents need a break to be young again themselves and not have to worry. I handle cooking, cleaning, errands, homework help, and encourage a healthy, well-mannered lifestyle. By all means, it is your house, your kids and your rules that I would never disregard. I have even worked as a personal assistant. I am very trustworthy and understand the responsibility required. I also know how to make sure the duties are done, the kids are laughing and enjoying life! I am here to help!
