In 1988-1989, I completed a vocational program in child day care management. In 1990, I worked for 7 months as a temporary nanny for a child recovering from heart surgery. The job ended when the child was well enough to go back to day care. I have worked as a high school teacher for 15 years. I am also a mom. (Young empty-nester with no grandchildren. That is why I want to work as a nanny.)

I love working with children! I have four younger siblings and I have helped raise them since they were babies. I have also taught gymnastics to ages 3-16 for three years and been a part of VBS and helping at nursery at my church for 9 years. I can work with all ages and help manage a household on my own. My parents both had full time jobs growing up so I was the stay at home mom for our family, this taught me how to be responsible, patient and have good communication as well with the children and parents. I have been a babysitter for many people and I am willing to work with more than one child or pet. I have had multiple dogs in the past and love caring for them too. I can do anything from meal prep to running errands and caring for a sick child.

Babysitting is a passion of mine because I get to care for all kinds of kids who bring joy & light to life in their own ways! I’ve babysat for 5 years, I’ve worked in a preschool, at a summer camp, and in an ABA clinic with special needs children! I’m also CPR certified but most importantly, I just love kids of all ages!

I’m currently attending Dalton State College for criminal justice and hoping to graduate with a bachelor’s degree. As I do currently work for a family on weekdays, I’m only available on weekends or week-nights. I love working with kids of all ages! I have experience with the stages of elementary school aged children. I enjoy creating fun activities for kids, reading to them, making them meals, taking them to events, light housekeeping and so much more. I love to watch children grown and develop in their own ways.
