I am a mother of four and grandmother to two. I have a degree in Psychology, Undergraduate Degree Technical Management and currently attending courses in preparation for a Christian Counselor state licensure. After years of Human Resources Management, juggling thousands of employees and serving corporate board members; I realized I was missing out on those things most important in life, my children growing up as I sat behind a desk. I decided to seek a career that would provide a more flexible schedule through the study of nursing. During final clinical rotations, I became pregnant with twin daughters. It was then time to devote my time and attention to my precious family. As I began to enjoy this time at home, I was quickly approached by many parents, to share my love, structure and attention with their children in my home. I began to provide in-home childcare for 5 children Read more infant to elementary school age. To include some children, also requiring special needs. As I now find myself left with only my twins at home; I desperately desire to provide a safe, structured, supportive, and loving environment to children and their parents, who are unable to stay home. I've worked as a nanny for several families in my early 20's, for a daycare center as preschool teacher in 1991-1992, operated an at-home after school daycare from 2003-2006 and now care for a 10 month old and an 16 month old, 3-5 days a week in my home. My home is equipped and eagerly awaiting to fill 4 more available spots with your precious children. I can provide tutoring assistance for after school children if needed, extra curricular activities such as art lessons. To provide an overview, my home is conveniently located a half of a mile off of I-20, centrally located, 10 minutes from Madison and 10 minutes from Covington, sits on over 5 acres, is designed with an designated playroom, trampoline, outdoor playground and an in-ground pool. The home is safe guarded with security system and 10 24-hour monitoring security cameras, a multitude of safety mechanisms designed for children such as lock gates and pool alarms. Setting aside the physical appeal of this childcare environment, I would love the opportunity to lessen the burden of a parent, by providing a fun-loving, and safe childcare experience.
