My name is Carolyn…I am a teacher and licensed counselor with years of experience working with children in both the professional and childcare world. I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina and my master’s degree in Counseling from Georgia State University. Over the years I have provided nannying and childcare services to families across the Atlanta area as well as in North and South Carolina. I also have professional experience working with children through play therapy, educational testing and as a teacher. This summer I had my first child, instantly fell in love (of course!) and ever since have dreaded the thought of leaving him to return to work teaching…especially with everything going on in the world right now. Now that I have personal experience with how difficult it can be to find childcare (those daycare waitlists are CRAZY and trusting my baby with just anyone terrifies me) I love the idea of being able to offer a solution to families in my community. I would like to offer nannying/babysitting/childcare services in my home to families who are looking for such. Ideally I would like to take on 1-2 children who need regular care during the day. I am also flexible for other childcare needs. I live in the Smyrna/Vinings area (very close to the Home Depot headquarters). I can provide numerous referrals verifying my childcare experience from parents I’ve worked with previously and am excited about the potential for working with more families in my community in this way.
