Aloha, my name is Mai- I am patient, reliable, and kind. I currently work at a dental office where I am a treatment coordinator/dental assistant. I feel as adults, we tend to lose touch with our youthful insight of the world and how we go about our days, so being around kids tends to give off refreshing perspectives. Before being involved in the dental field, I worked at Southmoor Elementary for three years as a program leader where I reinforced positive, developmental learning and social skills with the kids. I also worked at 24 Hour Fitness for a year as the Kids Club Leader where I solely ensured kids were taken care of and were enjoying their time. Additionally, I am CPR/First Aid, HIPAA, and OSHA certified, and I have experience working with kids who are on the spectrum/has special needs. I am continuing to pursue experiences that promote growth Read more and well-being. With my experiences and academic background, continuing to relate in community efforts while providing positive services is a path that I desire. Beyond the typical structures of a workplace, being able to abstractly incorporate my services to help make positive changes amidst an ambiance that allows kids to grow, learn, and be interactive throughout the day is what motivates me. To lead a path of presence and acceptance is hospitality in my perspective, which is the sole reason for why becoming a sitter is appealing to me. With my patience and understanding, I am able to keep an open mind to those I meet to ensure their needs and care are being met.
