Aloha! My name is Mikayla and I am part time university student living in Monoa. Growing up in British Colombia, Canada I lived with my single mom who worked long hours everyday, so I had to take on the household responsibilities while looking after my two younger brothers. On top of this I also have experience working kid's summer camps, and tutoring children. I have played competitive rugby for the past six years and this gave me the opportunity to volunteer and coach younger kids, which was a rewarding experience as I got to witness growth and confidence in these children throughout my time coaching. Some of my notable achievements include being Head of my High school, the equivalent to class president, winning double gold medals at the Canadian Rowing Championships, and winning a silver medal at the Canadian Rugby Championships.
