Aloha! My name is Avani Borton. I've been babysitting for 9+ years and I've worked with children of all ages. My approach to childcare is nurturing, playfully and structure based! I believe in stimulating the children with lots of games, arts and crafts and activities. I specialize in language teaching and I am more than happy to incorporate spanish learning into my babysitting. I grew up in northern califonia but I’ve lived in New York, Mexico, Rome and Greece. I moved here to finish out my degree in psychology and speech pathology. Aside from being a student and sitter, I spend my time volunteering at the IHS Kaa’ahi street women and children's shelter at an after school program for children. I also do private Spanish tutoring for all ages. I never get tired of being around children, they are my passion and my future career! In addition, my mom was Read more a nanny growing up and I've been tagging along to her jobs since I was old enough to remember. I'm also an older sister to three sisters who are now 10 13 & 14 years younger so by the time I started babysitting I had already changed a lot of stinky diapers and enforced a lot of bedtime routines.
