Hi, my name is Maya, I’m originally from Germany and moved to Maui in 2023. I live with my husband and my stepson (10 years old) in Waihee. I got my state-certified educator degree and my Bachelor in social work in Germany and I worked in a preschool (kids age 2-6) for over 6 years. I grew up in a big family (5 siblings and lots of cousins) what lead me to my job as a preschool teacher. I have lots of experience with kids different ages and love supporting and attending them to become an independent and confident person. I’m patent and calm but also energetic and adventurous. I recently relocated to Kihei/Wailea area, Maui, full time last year, (after visiting for over 2 decades & with family on Kaua'i). I have many, MANY years of experience caring for & spending time with children (beginning in my teens, when I was the neighborhood babysitter). I have been a nanny off/on for the past 2 decades for various families, while I was also raising my (now grown) son, so I am also a mom. I love being a sitter because I grew up around young kids all my life. I am currently in college as a nursing major in Honolulu.
