During the 3yr. break between graduation from the University of Hawaii in Elementary Education and working for the Federal Government, I have babysat for my infant nephew till he was about 2 yrs. ago and did Elementary School substitute teaching for the Central District of Oahu. On weekends off from Federal Government work, I would babysit my two nieces who were 2 and 6 years old at the time. I love taking care of children and teaching them. That is why I majored in Elementary Education. To see that sparkle in their eyes when they learn something is so gratifying to me. This year I babysat my grandson from 4mo.-7mo. old. But he moved away on Military Orders with his parents. But I will be travelling to see them next month. I am looking for a part-time babysitting job to supplement my retirement income.
