Why do you love being a sitter? I’ve always found purpose when it comes to caring for kids. There’s something incredibly rewarding about helping them feel safe, seen, and supported as they grow. What experience do you have? Oldest of four with an unofficial PhD in conflict resolution, snack distribution, diaper duty, and last-minute science project rescues. For 10 years, I’ve been the built-in babysitter, backseat therapist, and go-to role model—earning my stripes in spilled juice, scraped knees, helping with everything from ABCs to algebra. I’ve learned how to balance patience with play and structure with silliness, all while showing up with love and reliability. What skills and training do you have? I’m currently attending Kirkwood Community College for nursing and have completed my first year, which included courses in anatomy, nutrition, psychology, and developmental psychology. This academic foundation gives me a deeper understanding of child development and overall wellness.
