I am currently a part-time college student in the process of getting my CDA(Child, Development, Associates). I have between 4-5 years of professional childcare experience. I started out babysitting when I was around 12 and got my first daycare job at 20. I've always loved interacting with and helping children grow. I have the most experience with caring for kids 2-12 years old. The best part of getting to work with kids is being a positive impact on their growth and development. I love working with families to help the early years of development the best they can be. I love using play and natural experiences to help grow a child's world. I don't mind getting a little messy for the sake of growth, fun, and creativity. I have done many trainings and certifications through the Iowa DHS training program. Including but not limited to Child & Adult First Aid/CPR. Read more I also have an abundance of experience working with kids transitioning into potty training. I am also able to provide good structure for early learning. I have had amazing success with helping develop early writers and early readers. My cooking skills are somewhat limited but I can prepare simple meals and healthy snacks. Due to doing college online my schedule can be pretty flexible. My greatest availability would be Mon-Fri, 12pm-6:30pm. Availability can be more flexible if you are okay with me doing some course work throughout the day and having telehealth appointments once or twice a week. Of course your child's safety and well-being are always my top priority. Overnight and weekend availability is negotiable.
