Hello, my name is David and I am a stay at home father of a twenty month old daughter. I realized after having our daughter how much I love working with children, seeing them grow, and helping them to develop. I am a very active parent who believes that children should be given opportunities to explore their environment and learn social skills with others, while having an adult who is actively monitoring their safety, nutrition, and health. I can regularly be seen at the IC Children's Museum, the Mercer Auditorium's Tot Time, and at the public library. In addition to watching my daughter, I am also involved in the Kirkwood Nursing program. Through this program and my prior military and EMT experience, I am currently up to date on all shots and vaccines, I have earned my CPR/First Aid Certificates, and will soon be a Certified Nursing Assistant. My goal with this in-home daycare is to watch over up to three children, provide them educational opportunities, and to provide parents with an affordable and flexible childcare resource (we all know Iowa City is NOT known for this). General rates are estimated below, but weekly or monthly estimates for consistent childcare can be negotiated.
