Even though I am the youngest in my family, I have spent many years helping with my niece. I am CPR and First Aid certified. I work with 3-6 and 7-12 year olds mostly. I grew up helping at camp with at risk kids, I am a success coach with those kids as well. As a success coach I work with kids who aren’t having the best of times. I help them understand why they are upset and how we can work through this to have a better days. I am verified in mental health awareness for children. Running around and having a huge amount of energy is what I expect and love to have fun!

I’ve always had a natural ability to connect with children and create a safe, positive environment where they can grow and thrive. Taking care of kids isn’t just something I do, it’s something I genuinely enjoy and take pride in. I’m patient, attentive, and understanding, which helps me meet each child’s unique needs while building trust with both them and their families.

I currently am a co-lead infant teacher at my current job so I have a lot of experience working with infants. I am also CPR + First Aid certified! I have previously worked with toddlers all the way up to school-agers! I’m available on the weekends, and evenings (5pmish). I enjoy meeting new children, and love to experience their growth as they get older. I would call myself pretty patient, strong minded and a hard worker.

I have been a nanny for a family for about 3 to 4 years now. But they are no longer needing my services since the kiddo is growing up. I also have occasionally babysat for other families too. I am a part-time teacher who lives in the Mid-West during the school year and WILL reside in southern California for the full summer (approximately mid June to early August - there is some flexibility there).. My experience includes many years of babysitting and nanny experience. in addition to 18 years of full-time middle school teaching. I do have a daily position M-F already lined up this summer in LA, but will be available some evenings and weekends here and there to provide care. Please see my availability. Hello, My name is Terra, I’ve been a daycare teacher since 2023 working with ages 3 months to 3 years old. I love working with children because I get to be apart of helping them learn new things as well as helping them grow into new personalities they will have. Working in daycares I got the opportunity to get certified via Iowa state courses, and I have my cpr/first aid training. The skills I bring with me is my patience, reliability, and ability to adjust to new things quickly, I’m a quick thinker when plans change, I can cook and clean, and will always prioritize the children’s needs over my own.

I have spent my entire life working with children as a teacher, a substitute teacher, a professional nanny, and a Casa I love what I do and I love working with children, and I never pick another profession. I do have a degree in elementary education and educational counseling also parallel degree. I use to babysit my younger sister as well as her friends around the neighborhood from ages 5-8 I am CPR and First Aid certified, I was a lifeguard for about a year and a half. I have childcare experience in a formal daycare setting as well. My experience with kids there ranges from 1-5. With working at a daycare I have completed DHS required trainings for childcare I’m extremely comfortable with pets, I’ve worked at a doggy daycare and grew up with up to 16 animals in my home at once. In high school I took childhood development class and parenting, I took those classes because I've always grew up with younger family members that I have taken care of.
