I started babysitting when I was in high school but have not done it regularly since then. I've taken care of friends kids here and there, but had never thought about doing it as a job. Why now? Mainly, all of my friends that have kids live in other states now, and I miss being around children. I was not able to have my own children, and until I'm in a position where I can foster/adopt, I would love to be an "aunt" to other kids. I also volunteered at an elementary school for Girl Scouts while finishing my Associates degree; getting to know those girls and helping them was extremely rewarding, it was one of the best experiences of my life.
