I am currently looking for summer employment as a nanny or babysitter beginning in the middle to end of May. I will be home starting the middle of May and have a very flexible schedule this summer. I love to play, do crafts, read, and engage with children of all ages. I have about 5 years of experience caring for kids ages 0-12 in all different situations. I am currently studying elementary education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In the past, I interned in an elementary school for a full year, worked as a gymnastics coach for 2 years, and held a position as a Lead Summer Camp Counselor at Lifetime Fitness for 2 years. At school I worked at the Child Development Lab caring for infants to 3-year-olds, mentored a fifth grader once a week, worked in a third grade classroom once a week at a local Read more elementary school and volunteered one day a week in a first grade classroom. Currently, I am in a placement through the College of Education (which correlates to fulfilling my degree) where I full time student teach for four weeks in a second and third grade classroom at a school in White Heath, IL, as a junior in college. This has been one of the most educating and fulfilling positions I have ever had. I have learned so much from this experience and have ultimately solidified my desire to be a teacher which has been my dream for as long as I can remember. Again, I love having fun, playing outside, and creating new games and crafts to do with children. I am very passionate about caring for children as I can't wait to be a teacher one day!
