Recently graduated from SIUC with a major in Social Work! I am a first generation college student and soon to be first in my family to receive a masters degree in Social work, with a concentration in Children, Youth, and Families. During my college career I was a member of Americorps, a federally funded service based learning program, where I ran small reading and math groups for 4th and 5th graders for 2 years. I also have experience with plan fun outdoor summer activities from my experience as a head camp counselor and various other volunteering positions. Due to Covid, I was forced to move home because of lost income from school closures and master social work classes being placed online due to campus closure. I would love to use my experience and credentials to support a family in need during this uncertain time while also gaining experience creating individualized Read more plans for children. I would love to spend my summer proving support for parents in need, before continuing my education in the masters program, through fun and educational activities planned by me! P. S.
