My name is Madelyn Shutwell and I will be a sophomore at Illinois State this fall, majoring in Child Development in hopes of becoming a Child Life Specialist. I am the oldest of four siblings and have babysat them since I was 12. One of my sisters has severe allergies and asthma so I am comfortable using an epipen and inhaler, if needed. I love children and have been involved in Bible Schools, youth basketball and softball programs; coaching and volunteering, as well as child care for various families in my town.
