Hello parents and families! I have a passion and love for children I am a child at heart but a maturing 23 year old. I have been looking after children since the age of nine. I have watched over younger family members, worked at day cares , summer camps, and after school programs. Children are not only innocent individuals they are highly intelligent as well. I have found that I have learned so much from the children that I have watched over, making it one of the leading reasons why I love watching over and being involved with children so much. I am First Aid and CPR/AED certified through the American Red Cross for infant children and adults, I plan to continue training for child care and emergency medical alertness. My training has come to me professionally and through experience. I started off watching younger cousins while my Aunts and Read more Uncles were working or busy. As I got older I realized how much fun I had watching kids but also how much work it takes. On the professional side I learned the schedule of children, when they should wake up in the morning, what food will give them energy or makes them sleepy, which child is allowed to have juice, which child strictly drinks water, who has a peanut allergy, who has a hard time going to sleep, who has a hard time interacting, which baby is very friendly/ social, these are just a few things that I have learned and continuously developed over time. I focus on Health Promotion and Communication in college and in my future career endeavors. My interest in health focuses on families and children, my passion for children is a bonus. I am a graduate from college and currently working on acceptance into grad school. I plan to continue my education in Health Promotion and concentrate on managing a family health care facility and operate a youth advocacy group in the near future.
