Hi there! I'm a 22 year old college student, a senior, and I love writing and teaching. I've been writing since I was twelve years old and I have always loved children but found my true passion to teach them through student teaching and mentoring. Once I receive my bachelor's, I plan on getting my teaching certification and Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education. I am a hard worker, but I also know how to have fun. I enjoy going out to eat and to the movies, staying in and watching movies and cartoons, and having a good laugh with friends and family. I have student taught creative writing to classes of 20 or more fourth graders and fifth graders in CPS at Onahan Elementary and Paul Revere Intermediate. I have also mentored and tutored ninth graders at Kelvyn Park High School through a nonprofit organization. I absolutely love reading Read more to children, having group discussions about the things they love and the things they dislike, and guiding them as they put pen to paper and tell their own individual stories whether real or fictional. I am also a recess coach within CPS and lead activities like Red Light, Green Light and freeze tag along with supervising the children as they play to make sure they don't hurt themselves. When I was younger, I also was in a daycare environment quite often, assisting my mom as she started out working with children before receiving her masters and teaching certification. I think I'm good at being a caregiver because I have experience with children, I'm very patient by nature, I'm able to be authoritative but also approachable and friendly, and I can relate to kids fairly well as far as their interests like video games and cartoons.
