Hi everyone, My name is Michelle and I’m 29 years old. I have many years of experience taking care of children from 6 months old until 12 years old. In the past, I have taken care of my nephew, family friend who had children, and other families I have connected with through other families. I worked for Blue Bird Day as a therapeutic assistant where I had a group of 3-4 kiddos who I assisted transitioning between different therapy disciplines. I mainly worked with kiddos on the autism spectrum and other disabilities. My responsibilities where to assist the kiddos with ADL’s, bathroom breaks, snack and lunch time. As well as interacting with them during their therapy session whether it was helping with academic skills or social skills. Also, I have worked as a behavior therapist in an outpatient clinic where I had 1:1 sessions with kiddos on the autism spectrum. Read more As a behavior therapist I traveled and went to in home sessions aside from working in clinic. As a behavior therapist I was able to work with kiddos on behavior intervention plans, academic skills, and playing skills. At the moment, I’m looking to get back into babysitting at least 1-2 kiddos. I enjoyed being a behavior therapist but the commute became strenuous overtime. I am fully vaccinated and CPR certified. I’m looking to work with a family who has consistent hours. Particularly, I’m looking to work Tuesday – Thursday and adding in either a Monday or Friday every other week. If I find the right family I am willing to look into working M-F or M-Thurs.
