Hello! I my name is Candace and I have been living in Hyde Park, Chicago for almost a year. I attend the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration where I am getting my Master's in Social Work with a focus on Community Schools. I am originally from Park Slope, Brooklyn and have worked with children for 12 years in homes, churches, schools, and community centers. I started off babysitting, and after attaining my undergraduate degree I was a nanny for a seven months for a family with a then 2 year old and 5 year old. I have and hope to continue to work in the education sector within urban school settings. Most of my training in working with children comes from professional experience and classes I have taken while pursuing my masters.
