Hello, my name is Barbara. I'm a single, divorced mother of an 19 year old son. I have been divorced since my son was 2. I've juggled a career as a CPA and part-time Accounting instructor and full time mother. My son is currently attending DePaul. He went to Newberry Academy in Lincoln Park for grammar school. Now that he's in college I can pursue my dream job of being a full time Assistant Professor. I accepted a full-time position to teach at a University beginning January 1, 2017. However, my full-time job as a Controller with a charter school was eliminated due to a decrease in CPS funding. Rather than spend the next 4 months in an office job I thought I would use my skills to do a job that I'm good at. - taking care of people. I'm a healthy active person who enjoys outdoors, playing games Read more and being active. I love to read and being a single mom I know what parents mean when they say "they want someone to do the things with my kids I don't always have time to do." I have a BS in Accounting from the University of Illinois, a MBA from Northwestern and I just completed my MST from DePaul. I'm willing to get my CPR certificate. I have my own car.
