About Me: Hello all families in need, I am a 22 year old female from a small town in Ohio. I moved to Chicago 5 years ago to study at Loyola University Chicago; I recently graduated this May with a degree in Economics but have also recently found my passion for real estate so I am studying for my brokers license. I live in Lincoln Park and enjoy runs/walks to the lake, exploring other neighborhoods, going to art festivals, reading in a nice, shady spot, and cooking! My Experience: For the care I’ve done in Chicago, I babysat for a 3 month old boy several times this summer including care such as: changing diapers and onesies, prepping and giving the bottle, tummy time, and laying down for naps. The majority of my experience is from Ohio; my first time babysitting was when I was 13 for four kids all under Read more age of 7. Since then I've babysat for about 6 families, 2 reoccurring. I've cared for a sweet, special-needs girl who was diagnosed with down syndrome - I've watched kids ranging anywhere from pre-school to about 7th grade. The families always liked when I cared for their kids because I'm a big believer in outdoor activity (in safe places); since I grew up climbing trees, I didn't want the art to ever be lost. I also will help with homework or even tutoring (during high school I worked with SOS- Students Helping Other Students and tutored roughly 4, 5th graders in any subject needed). Other things I've done while caring for families is prepared dinner, and cleaned up around the house! I will play board games, watch movies, play with toys, etc. I have been CPR certified in the past and will be willing to update that if you wish. My goal: I hope to care for a family nearby or in the Chicago area for occasions or a part-time weekly situation. While words on a screen are a good way to get to know someone, I value meaningful conversations - so don't hesitate to reach out or we could even meet up to see if I'd be a good fit.
