Hi! I’m Lyd a special education teacher in training with a background in working with children of all abilities. I currently work as a paraprofessional, supporting students with a range of needs, and I bring that same patience, understanding, and adaptability to babysitting. I have my own vehicle, am an experienced driver with a clean driving record, and am happy to provide school or activity transport. I enjoy being outdoors whether it’s kicking around a soccer ball after school or heading to a nearby park after school, but am also happy doing crafts, reading, playing board games or whatever else you know will keep your child engaged! At my job in a Chicago Public School, I have three kids I currently assist throughout the day, helping them stay engaged and stepping in to help with any big emotions or arguments. In previous childcare positions, I tutored a group of boys Read more 8-13 at a local non-profit and provided after school pickup and care to an awesome 5th grader. I've also babysat for different families during summer break over the years, as well as been a sitter for friends kid's during an evening out. As a paraprofessional, I work with almost every age group, so I’m happy and comfortable with kids ages 1-15, and their differing needs. I can also help prepare snacks and/or meals, do basic housework and cleaning, or walking any furry friends you may have. In my free time I enjoy writing music, exploring new coffee shops, biking in and out of the city, and playing with the dogs I foster!
