Hello! My name is Asha and I’m a rising senior at the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign with a strong passion and love for babies, children, and early childhood development! Since I was a preteen up until now, I was always responsible enough to watch over young children aged 5 months to 8 years old for my family and friends. When I was in middle school I cared for my new born baby cousin who lived with me up until the age of 4 years old and this matured me as well as taught me a lot of responsibility when it came to raising a young child. Since then, I was well experienced and knowledgeable enough to care for other neighbors, friends, and relatives children. Over the years, I became more aware about the importance of babysitting and having positive impact on a developing child’s life because these are Read more the memories they will keep with them throughout their growing years. As a child, I had a babysitter who spoke Italian and she would speak to me in that language which helped me learn and understand more beyond English. When she passed away, I had another amazing babysitter who made life so fun for me as well as helped me with reading. Both of these experiences have stuck with me today and I’ve always wanted to fulfill that role for another growing child. My experience also includes tutoring toddlers, teaching young children about healthy eating at preschools/kindergarten schools, volunteering at day care centers, watching over my college friends who have young babies, creating educational content for toddlers, and taking care of toddlers and babies outside of the US as a study abroad opportunity. I hope you were able to get a snapshot image of me and my love for children. With that being said, I would be more than happy to care for your son or daughter and am willing to go above and beyond to fulfill their needs.
