Hi! My name is Kelly, and I’m an occupational therapist with a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and 23 years of childcare experience. I am looking for as-needed sitting jobs in Chicago/suburbs. I’m non-binary, and am passionate about working with families who value inclusivity, respect, and diversity. Creating a safe, affirming space where children can fully be themselves is incredibly important to me. With my background as an OT, I bring a strong understanding of child development, sensory processing, emotional regulation, and executive functioning. I’m skilled at creating structured routines that help children feel secure while still leaving plenty of room for creativity and fun. I can support homework, build fine and gross motor skills through play, and use evidence-based strategies to help with transitions, self-regulation, and independence in daily tasks. I have experience working with children of all ages and abilities, including those with developmental differences, sensory sensitivities, and Read more unique learning styles. I love meeting kids where they are and exploring whatever they’re passionate about—whether that’s building forts, crafting, outdoor adventures, imaginative play, or diving into their favorite topics.
