Hello! My name is Arthur Main. I am a career educator currently living in the Pilsen area of Chicago. I hold a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with a Special Education endorsement and have spent the last several years dedicated to understanding how children learn, grow, and navigate their development. My extensive background in Special Education has led me to view caregiving as a unique opportunity to help every child meet their specific needs. I find immense joy in creating customized environments where children feel safe to explore, ask questions, and be exactly who they are, ensuring that my support is always tailored to their personal strengths. I have spent years in classroom settings designing curriculum and leading groups of young learners, but I find more individualized care to be the most rewarding. Specializing in the 0–8 age range, I offer a deep understanding of developmental milestones, literacy, and Read more social-emotional growth. My M.Ed. provides a professional toolkit for managing diverse learning needs, including ADHD, Autism (ASD), and sensory sensitivities. I am skilled at implementing individualized strategies, following IEP goals, and utilizing positive behavioral guidance and de-escalation techniques. I am CPR and First Aid certified and committed to ensuring your children are safe, supported, and thriving. I am an active musician and creative who is happy to incorporate music, art, and educational projects into our daily routine. I have a clean driving record, am comfortable with pets, and am happy to help with meal prep and cleaning. I am looking for a family that views a sitter as an extension of their support system!
