Hello my name is Rachel Kelley and I am looking for some part time nannying in Chicago. I just graduated college at Depaul University Summa cum laude. I have been a babysitting for approximately 5 years since I started high school. I became a babysitter because I have always enjoyed spending time with children, and I also had babysat throughout my whole childhood. I have cared for many different families and different responsibilites for each job. My most intensive job was when I cared for 2 children aged 5 and 7. My job was their after school caregiver/ mother's helper. My duties included feeding, dressing, driving, playing, reading and homework help. Around the house I cleaned up and did laundry. Another regular job I have had just included spending time with a 4 year old girl and giving her mother a break from her. I have also cared for a Read more 12 year old girl which included taking her from school on Chicago's public transit then helping her with her homework. Before these regular jobs I was an occasional sitter for date nights. To play with the kids I would always suggest outside activites (if the weather permitted) like going to the park, on walks and even some sports. Inside, I believe reading, arts and crafts, and playing dress up are fun activites! My latest job of 2 years, was with one 7 (now 9 year old) girl for after school care M-F. I created a wonderful relationship with my girl and her family, and really was my best and most meaningful nannying experience. Outside of babysitting, I have done volunteer work at the American Cancer Society, University of Chicago Hospital, food pantry's, and with my sorority. At Depaul I was a part of the sorority Alpha Phi and we spend a lot of time giving bank to our community through volunteering, and making our own fundraisers that benefit the Alpha Phi Foundation for heart disease. I will be attending UCLA in the fall to become a MSN nurse so I am First Aid and CPR certified! Please contact me with any further questions. --Rachel
