I have always loved taking care of children because of the positive impact and lasting relationships I get to make with the children and their parents. I learned responsibility and childcare from my mom who set a prime example growing up. However, I was able to put my knowledge into practice as I became the consistent mother's helper and babysitter for over 7 years to my neighbors next door. I started caring for this family when I was ten years old helping with their 18 month old and new born. Duties included playing, cooking/feeding times, and bedtimes. As time progressed, other families would reach out for my services to help their older kids with homework, sports practices, dinner, and bedtime routines as well. I never felt like I was working when babysitting/nannying over 8+ families for 10+ years.
